Ah those crazy yanks with their funny ideas. Yesterday I was reminded again about how they see the world. Examples include the baseball world series, the way the winners of American football's superbowl call themselves world champions, the pub quiz I went to where the round on "the world" had 4 out of 10 questions on the USA and on Nanny 911 they tell us at the start they scoured the globe looking for nannies, but all 3 of them are British. What a coincidence.
Rock Star started last night, where INXS knock contestants out week by week to find a new singer. It started with a montage of cities around the world telling us how they've looked in every possible location to find a new rock star. It seems a bit strange that having carried out this extensive search of every city on the planet all they managed was 1 Aussie, 4 Canadians (all from Ontario) and 10 Americans. I'd tell you more about it but I was flicking between that and Hell's Kitchen so I didn't really see much, one girl was quite good but the rest I saw were a bit rubbish.
