Every now and then i like to check up on our old house. Its been newly decorated with laminate floors and its up to £45/week now!
I saw a little bit of Revelations on tv last night in which "Just before the start of Armageddon, a physicist and a nun race against the clock to see if the end of the world apocalypse can be averted". Was a bit rubbish until the one and only Christopher Biggins, the light entertainer, turned up as a slightly sinister religious bigwig in the Vatican. How exciting. Sadly after that I couldn't watch anymore as the show looked a bit poopy.

New York, Part 3 and Wilmington pics are at this site now. The NYC ones aren't that exciting but there's some nice Wilmington ones. There's me and Luke at the Azalea festival downtown, when we took Sue to the beach and our trip to Orton plantation with all the pretty flowers and on to the aquarium at Fort Fisher. WE even went to target after that and then to a nice restaurant downtown but after that....We went and ate MORE FOOD at a Mexican place. Madness.

In celebration of Earth Day at UNC and Energy Saving Day at UEA There's a link above to a list of ways to save power like how to use the energy saving option on a puter. Its a big lie you use more energy turning lights out or shutting down puters than leaving them on. So turn that light out, open the blinds and go get some low energy bulbs!

New York, New York: Part 1
New York, New York: Part 2
We had lots of fun, it was great catching up with Lou and Sue. Did loads of sightseeing. I was all organised and got advance tickets for things and everything! Decided that time square was probably slightly more impressive than Piccadilly circus, but their tube is much not nearly as good. The map is rubbish and confusing and there's no big list of stations up like on the tube so you have to make it really obvious you're looking at where the train is going.
Did some ethical shopping getting a t-shirt that was made in the USA and promised to be sweatshop free.
I also made the mistake of staying with Sue while she bought up the Mac counter for cheaper stuff and the lady convinced my to buy a lipstick cause she said all of the money goes to an Aids charity and it isn;t just a percentage and she promised me no animal testing.
Went to a trendy vege restaurant in the village called Gobo, which was going on about how you feed the five senses for full living or something a bit bobbins like anyway. Food was ok, I was big fan of the Sweet potato fries. I also had to try a strange bubble drink. You have a big straw and as you drink beads of tapioca come up. I'm not sure it was very nice and for a few hours after I still had the sensation of the tapioca beads which didn't make me enjoy my cocktail. Worth a visit though.
I also went a little crazy in the museum of modern art and got two arty posters. Get me!

Sesame street's cookie monster will now only have cookies occasionally. Sesame street is going all healthy, "New characters such as talking aubergines and carrots will be introduced, while guests stars such as soul singer Alicia Keys will talk about the importance of a healthy lifestyle."

Had lots of fun playing pass the parcel and other strange thinking games. Had a few costumes and everything. I'm afraid my Freddie wasn't a patch on Amy's but I did what I could. I did some sewing and everything! It took a few songds before people guessed who I was. I went through Who wants to live forever and its a kind of magic but had to do killer queen or we are the champions to give it away.

Its not just Vincent Van Gogh that shares a birthday with me you know. Eric Clapton was also born on My birthday. But look on the day I was born they recorded a special Happy birthday Eric owlbum. Groovy! (Got three Dylan songs on it though which isn't a good sign)
That's almost as good as the record shop in Dublin selling records sorted as pre and post 1976. I changed the world you know!
